I am in the middle of a few major makeovers, although one of them is not in my house! I recently designed a new master bathroom for my parents, and my dad is in the process of plumbing for the new tub. This makeover will be done by the new year (I hope), so here are some pics of that circus:
These are actually in the wrong order but I'm too lazy to fix that right now. The bathroom was a small room at the end of this loooong hallway of bifold doors. The closets were bigger than the bathroom, so we tore everything out and I switched the layout. The bathroom will now be where the closet was, and the former bathroom is just the right size for a walk-in closet.

I'll have more pictures of the progress this weekend!

And I also decided to change my daughter's room completely. I can't take it. There is no storage, no floor space, and the color is so blah. Since my ex husband and his girlfriend/fiance/whatever are taking my kids for Christmas this year (out of state. I am trying not to think about it. lalalalallalaa), I have an entire kid-free week in which to tear the house apart like a bipolar chick having a manic episode.
This is going to be a surprise for my daughter. I mentioned to her that I *might* repaint her room, and she said she would love polka dots. lol
Here's the "before" :

  1. Wow girl. You've got a LOT going on! I can't wait to see all the rooms you're working on.

  2. Nice progress pics, can't wait to see the finished product.

Welcome to my three ring circus. Cake? Tequila? Pardon me while I cut this lumber and yell at my kids for the 100th time --

About Me

My photo
For many years I was a mechanical engineer by day, a house renovator by night, and a single mom. I previously built a tiny house on Tybee Island that I sold in 2015. Then I lost my day job, met Prince Charming, and now work full time demolishing (fixing) his lake house. ;) Stop by for the house stuff, stay for the never-ending disasters, pianos falling out of the sky, floods, threats of financial ruin, & panic attacks. It's like house flipping meets the zombie apocalypse! with lots of kids!
