Thanks to all the lovely people who came out of the woodwork to offer advice on my latest technical AV hurdle. Rather than waste more time trying to figure out what cords I needed to connect the laptop to the flatscreen (FYI: Best Buy sucks), I followed the instructions on the Netflix site for streaming through the wii!

BEHOLD! We can now watch all kinds of stupid Japanese anime cartoons on the flatscreen, buy stupid toys to go with the show, and then fight non-stop. :/  All I can say is Thank God I'm divorced from my 4th kid. Jiminy Christmas.

(falling asleep in front of the TV. I *heart* Netflix, plus now I have something good to take away from them for punishment purposes.)

The last problem I need to fix is the very fuzzy reception. It has to do with the coax that I ran behind the wall and the connections there... I will post about that next because it is super irritating.

  1. I'm so glad you got it working! My kids get mad because they don't have the greatest or newest movies (to them) but we've gotten them to watch all the classics from our generation (superman, big, appollo 13, Secret of Nihm)

Redbox was really getting on my nerves to it's been a GOD SEND

  2. So glad you figured all of that out! Just last night we watched a documentary on aliens and the pyramids. I mean, come on. I love that I can connect to other worlds via Netflix any time I choose! I also love your blog. I just discovered you (and can't for the life of me figure out how I found this site!) I only have 3 blogs that I check regularly and yours is now one of them. Amazing how people connect with certain things. Thanks for sharing aspects of your life with random strangers! My life is being touched with each post. You inspire me. Thanks for that.

  3. OMG, you CRACK ME UP!!! I love Netflix too!!

Welcome to my three ring circus. Cake? Tequila? Pardon me while I cut this lumber and yell at my kids for the 100th time --

About Me

My photo
For many years I was a mechanical engineer by day, a house renovator by night, and a single mom. I previously built a tiny house on Tybee Island that I sold in 2015. Then I lost my day job, met Prince Charming, and now work full time demolishing (fixing) his lake house. ;) Stop by for the house stuff, stay for the never-ending disasters, pianos falling out of the sky, floods, threats of financial ruin, & panic attacks. It's like house flipping meets the zombie apocalypse! with lots of kids!
