This post is partly to update my kitchen photos and partly to show what I'm attempting next. Before I try to build monster built in cabinetry at Dawn's house I need to get acquainted with the basics and learn how to use the Shopsmith.
For posts about the remodeling process you can click on the kitchen tag. For BEFORE & AFTER pictures, click here.

Here's the picture I've never shown before. You can see why:
See that empty hole above the fridge? Don't you think there should be a CABINET there??
I knew it would require a custom cabinet and I didn't have the tools for that before now. This will be the next project, in preparation for Dawn's house. Keepin it real with all the junk, I didn't "stage" the above photo. You probably guessed that. ;)

  1. Girl, how in the world?? How do you manage to work, be a mom, and learn how to use new tools to build cabinets with? Do you ever sleep?

  3. When producing formica countertops, it is possible to plan on spending the largest quantity of your investment on the laminate. When you obtain the material directly from a local cabinet or countertop manufacture, you may get a better price than getting it from Household Depot.

About Me

My photo
For many years I was a mechanical engineer by day, a house renovator by night, and a single mom. I previously built a tiny house on Tybee Island that I sold in 2015. Then I lost my day job, met Prince Charming, and now work full time demolishing (fixing) his lake house. ;) Stop by for the house stuff, stay for the never-ending disasters, pianos falling out of the sky, floods, threats of financial ruin, & panic attacks. It's like house flipping meets the zombie apocalypse! with lots of kids!
