and is frantically looking at options for homeschooling?

I won't say that Christmas has me feeling merry or bright.. but at least I'm doing my part to keep the economy rolling in its death cart to hell, by refusing to hook up the cable TV (those salespeople come door-to-door now) & severely editing my Christmas shopping list down to buying another weapon.

But it's not all gloom and doom. Because beach house.

  2. We gave up cable 3 years ago and have never looked back. Everyone says they are getting burnt out by the coverage- besides NPR in the car, I haven't heard a thing unless I've gone looking for it. I can't see their little faces, I think I would throw up

Got my pendant- it's even better in person! Super nice and freaking adorable! Thank you- Merry Christmas Katy!

  4. I'm with you Mollie. I can't. I just can't. I have a 6 year old. it's all too much.

I waffle between telling myself to be calm or deciding to buy 300 acres to plop my home in the smack-dab center and surround the whole damn place with a 15ft steel and barbed wire wall.

  7. Katy, I have avoided the news for over 3 weeks, probably closer to 4 weeks, now. It's done a world of good for my mental health, if nothing else.

Welcome to my three ring circus. Cake? Tequila? Pardon me while I cut this lumber and yell at my kids for the 100th time --

About Me

My photo
For many years I was a mechanical engineer by day, a house renovator by night, and a single mom. I previously built a tiny house on Tybee Island that I sold in 2015. Then I lost my day job, met Prince Charming, and now work full time demolishing (fixing) his lake house. ;) Stop by for the house stuff, stay for the never-ending disasters, pianos falling out of the sky, floods, threats of financial ruin, & panic attacks. It's like house flipping meets the zombie apocalypse! with lots of kids!
