For a while there I was feeling like I'd bit off more than I could chew (just like with Debbie's kitchen last year). But now that the faceframes are coming together, there's a light at the end of the tunnel:
(Towels keep all my dust off the electronics!)
And if you remember the potager garden that we started this fall, we threw some lettuce and carrot seeds out there and didn't expect much. After a failed crop of...pretty much everything we planted last spring... imagine our shock that we now have mountains of Butter Crunch lettuce and this:
Yes, we need a better method for planting carrots so we get more than a spoonful. But you should have seen the excitement, all of us screaming and dancing around the backyard holding a baby carrot. (Ok maybe it was mostly me)

We have to get this farming thing figured out because as soon as the beach house is done we are building a mini farm next.

........Or I might take up drinking instead. We'll see.

About Me

My photo
For many years I was a mechanical engineer by day, a house renovator by night, and a single mom. I previously built a tiny house on Tybee Island that I sold in 2015. Then I lost my day job, met Prince Charming, and now work full time demolishing (fixing) his lake house. ;) Stop by for the house stuff, stay for the never-ending disasters, pianos falling out of the sky, floods, threats of financial ruin, & panic attacks. It's like house flipping meets the zombie apocalypse! with lots of kids!
